The name
In 530 BCE, Pythagoras taught from behind a veil. His outer students, the Akousmatikoi, the listeners, were not permitted to see him. They heard only his voice: the belief was that sight distracts, and only the voice carries thought in its purest form. Twenty-five centuries later, your voice is still the most personal thing you produce. Acousmos is built for it.
What we believe
Four principles, unchanged since day one: private by default (nothing trained on you, nothing you say collected); permanent by design (your archive should outlive apps, platforms, and companies, ours included); silent by craft (no notifications, no nags; the best tools disappear until needed); yours by philosophy (open formats, no lock-in; if you leave, you leave with everything). The company
Acousmos is made by Arrway (ARRWAY LTD), an independent company. No investors to answer to, no growth team, no data business on the side.
